Video Games

I play my first video game when I had 13 years old, I was in my grandma house and my cousin had him first play station as a gift for him birthday, so he called to my grandma house to invited me to use it with him for the first time. This is very difficult to say because I have more than one, but my top one favorite video game it’s mortal kombat, I just really love it and me and my best friend save money for a whole year to buy a play station together, so we always share it. But actually I don’t used too much, because I have so many homework from university, but when I finish my academic year, I’m going to used it in my free time. Most of the time I skip sleep just for playing mortal kombat, because playing in the night it’s too much fun. There’s sometimes that I prefer playing games to going out, but if they (my family or friends) invited me with anticipation I never cancel planes to stay at home playing games, only a few times when I have the possibility to choose, and I’m too t...

Elizabeth Bishop

I’ve always been a fan of Elizabeth Bishop; I remember when I read one of her poems in high school I feel so inspired, and I immediately search information about her and her work. Elizabeth was very good poet and short-story writer; she was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and was an only child. Her first approach to arts in general was when she attended to the Walnut Hill School, where she studied music. Her first poems were published in a student magazine by a friend when she was in high school. After that she continuous writing poems and her big influence was the poet Marianne Moore, even they became in very good friends. In 1995 Elizabeth published her book titled  Poems: North & South—A Cold Spring,  this book make her won the Pulitzer Prize in 1956. I kinda love her, I think that the manner in which she write poems it’s so honest, she can express the most banal things in the most beautiful way. Also all of her poems are about her personal exp...

My favorite piece of tecnology

I think saying this is very obvious, because, exist out there a young person who can live without his phone? Well, I really love mine, I used literally all the time to listen to music, to see photos, to read, even to do my homework, it is very useful for me because I don’t like to bring my computer all the time, it is so heavy and my back hurts, so I always use my phone and try to take advantage of all its functions. The one that I have now my mom gave it to me for my birthday the last year, and its worked fine, but I have been dropped it many times, and I think it has been damaged. I like to said that I really love my phone, but I always question myself the fact that using it a lot, for example when I'm with my family I try not to use it much, because I like to share with them without interruptions and I don’t like that they feel ignored, so I always keep it in my pocket in that moments.

Personal goals and dreams

When I was a child I dreamed of being a firefighter, and yes, for some people that is a little weird, but my brother had a firetruck, and I really love playing with it, so that was my dream for a few years. After that a wanted to be a vet, like all the little kids who loves animals. And at the time of my second year of High school the things I wanted to study were pedagogy in history and political science. But finally I decided to study sociology, because all my life I have wondered about the things that allow the existence of societies, I wanted to understand how they are developed, maintained and sometimes collapsed. My experience has been positive far because I really love to learn about, literally everything and also I love reading, and at the time, I thing I'm been doing that, so I’m happy. The most difficult part has been study far away from my town, because I miss my family so much, and that feeling sometimes can be so hard. Thinking about future I would like...
